FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Public Safety assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact to their agency.

Officials of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) assume this proposal would allow a representative of a hazardous materials response team or local fire response agency to sit on a policy board of a multijurisdictional enforcement group (MEG).

The MEG would be required to cooperate with the local hazardous material response team to establish a local response strategy.

DNR officials assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact to their agency.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal would allow a representative of a hazardous materials response team or local fire response agency to sit on a policy board of a multijurisdictional enforcement group (MEG).

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
