FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Transportation assume that there would be no fiscal impact to the department since signs are not required by the proposal. Officials anticipate that they would receive private funds to pay for the costs of installing two signs designating the Mark McGwire Highway (one at each end of the designated portion of I-70). The total cost of the signs is estimated to be $3,940.

DESCRIPTION

The proposal would designate the portion of interstate highway 70 within the city of St. Louis as the "Mark McGwire Highway."

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
