FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
This proposal could have a fiscal impact on small businesses who hire illegal aliens and then attempt to contract with the State.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal would prohibit anyone who is convicted of hiring illegal aliens from entering into a contract with the State for one year. This proposal also allows for penalty clauses in contracts if a contractor is convicted of hiring illegal aliens and has an existing contract with the State at the time.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
