SCS/SREM 1 - This remonstrance protests actions of the Board
of St. Louis Public Schools in obtaining a provision in the
agreement settling the St. Louis desegregation case that may be
in violation of state law. That settlement provision protects
the authority of the existing school board in the event that
St. Louis Schools lose accreditation. SB 781, adopted in 1998,
requires the transfer of authority to the transitional school
district if the district loses accreditation.
