Current Bill Summary

SJR 29 - This constitutional amendment, if approved by the voters, would amend Article I, Section 17 of the Missouri Constitution, which provides that no person shall be prosecuted except by indictment of information. The amendment adds a sentence clarifying that nothing in that section or in section 18 shall be construed to prohibit evidence of other crimes at trial, provided the evidence is otherwise legally admissible.
