SB 390 - This act revises the Minority Teaching Scholarships. Current law provides for up to 100 renewable scholarships in the amount of $2,000 for minority students, to encourage minority students to enter teaching. This act increases the number of scholarships from 100 to 500, and increases the scholarship amount to $3,000 for those students entering the field of special education.
This act is similar to HB 555.
