SB 332 - This act revises the process and requirements for permitting of surface mining and land reclamation.

Notice of filing a permit application shall be posted in a newspaper of general circulation in the affected area for four weeks, beginning within 10 days following the date of application for the permit. Notice of the application for a permit shall also be sent to all owners of land within 1000 feet of the affected area and to all cities and counties in the affected area.

The permit application review period is extended from 15 days to four weeks after the end of the public notice period, or about 66 days.
