Current Bill Summary

SB 220 - This act raises the non-advertising limit of counties to equal the minimum bid limit for contracts and purchases. Current law does not require counties to receive bids on purchases under $4,500. The current advertising limit is set at $3,000 - thus requiring advertising for bids on projects that the county did not need to submit to a bidding process. This act corrects an inadvertent drafting error in 1998.
