Current Bill Summary

SB 210 - This act staggers the elections of the township governing body in township counties. Currently, all five members are elected every 2 years. This act provides that the clerk and the board member with the highest vote total serve 3 year terms for the 2000 election only. After that, they will be elected for 2 year terms. This will allow the election of approximately half the board takes place every year.
