SB 202 - This act revises the requirements for school starting dates. Currently, school terms may only start prior to September 1 if allowed under certain specific exemptions.
The act removes the agricultural exemption and allows a
school term to start on or after the last Monday in August, so
long as the school schedules a four-day holiday for the Labor Day
weekend.
