Current Bill Summary

SB 158 - Current law allows the Department of Corrections to perform HIV testing on all individuals in correctional facilities. If a sex offender tests positive for HIV, the victim shall be informed of the positive results. This act adds a provision that, in the event the victim is an unemancipated minor, the Department shall also inform the minor's parents or guardian of the positive results.

This act is identical to HB 358.
