Current Bill Summary

SB 155 - This act authorizes the disclosure of information about current or past employees to new or prospective employers. The same information is available to any former employee upon request. The employer may disclose: dates of employment; pay; job description; wage history; and conditions of separation from the employer's service.

Any employer who discloses the information described above is immune from civil liability unless the employer knowingly discloses false information.

This act is similar to SB 101 and HB 441 (1999).
