SB 50 - This act makes it a Class D felony to assault or
kill a police animal while such animal is involved in law
enforcement investigation, apprehension, tracking or search, or
under the custody of a law enforcement or Department of
Corrections officer, municipal police department, fire department
or a rescue unit or agency. The act is similar to SB 663 from
1998 and this bill is similar to CCS/SCS/HB 248 (1999).
