Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator assume the proposed legislation would result in no appreciable costs to their agency.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

The perpetrator of certain violent crimes assumes the risk of any injuries resulting from his acts. The crime victim is immune from liability for any civil damages as a result of the acts or omissions of the victim, unless the force used by the victim was not justifiable.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
