FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the office of the Governor , the Senate and the House of Representatives stated that the proposal would not affect their offices, administratively.

Secretary of State officials note that their office would not pick members of the proposed commission at random. That procedure cost about $250. The cost would not be incurred in FY 01.

Advertisement costs for the proposal would be $3,990 per newspaper column inch for three publications of the text of the proposal, the introduction, title, fiscal note summary, and affidavit. The proposal would be on the ballot for the November 1998 general election.
