ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Revenue, Department of Economic Development-Division of Professional Registration, Department of Public Safety-Missouri Highway Patrol, Missouri Police Chiefs' Association, and the Missouri Sheriffs' Association assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

Officials of the Missouri Municipal League assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on local governments.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

The proposal would define the rights of funeral processions and the obligations of those responsible for them. Pedestrians and other vehicle operators would be required to yield to a funeral procession, with exceptions for emergency vehicles and law enforcement.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
