PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that land improvement equipment is
getting heavier and cannot get an overweight permit.  This will
brings land improvement contractors' commercial motor vehicle
plate in compliance with other plates.

Motor Carriers Associations; and the following contractors stood
in support: Kin and Albert Balkenbusch, Linn; Nelson Wilson,
Mexico; Debra Dickens, Jefferson City; Wally Sloan, Nevada; Joe
Bouer, Rockville; Roger Limback, Alma; Charles Boyer, Memphis;
and Bob Parks, Clinton.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
