HB 0844 Compensation of Certain County Prosecutors
Bill Summary

SCS/HB 844 - This act makes changes in compensation for certain county prosecuting attorneys.

Under provisions of this act, any full-time prosecuting attorney shall be eligible to receive, at a maximum, compensation equal to the compensation of associate circuit judge as adjusted by cost-of-living adjustments. The County Commission must still approve such salary pursuant to Section 50.333, RSMo.

The existing salary schedule for county prosecuting attorneys in third classification counties will apply to part- time prosecutors in that classification county.

With voter approval in such county, a part-time prosecuting attorney in a county shall serve full-time.
