HB 0813 (Truly Agreed) Special Road District Boards: Appointment of Treasurer; Issuance of Check Warrants
Bill Summary

HB 813 - This act has provisions for two types of special road districts.

City special road districts shall pay for expenses by check instead of the current warrant system.

Benefit assessment road districts in nontownship counties shall appoint a treasurer, who may issue checks in payment of the board's authorized debts. Currently, the county treasurer serves as the benefit assessment road district treasurer. The board shall set the bond for the treasurer (same method for the city road districts). The treasurer may issue tax anticipation warrants which bear a 6% rate of interest from the date presented for payment.
