HB 0709 (Truly Agreed) Publicly Owned Sewer Treatment Facilities
Bill Summary

SCS/HB 709 - This act requires a public sewage treatment facility which owns interceptors and local sewers to maintain and operate the entire system except for an individual user's pressure system.

The act also allows funds approved by voters to be used for all or a portion of the cost of repair of the full lateral line, even that portion not under a right-of-way. Current law limits the use of such funds to the full cost of lateral lines from any sewer main to the boundary line of the public or private right- of-way. The municipality is authorized to enact an ordinance for the administration as well as collection of the fee.

The act has an emergency clause.
