HCS/HB 620 - This act forbids any political subdivision of
the state from selling a telecommunications service for which a
certificate of service authority is required. Political
subdivisions may allow use of its rights-of-way by
telecommunications providers or from providing services for its
own use, emergency services, medical or educational purposes, to
students by an educational institution or internet type services.
This provision shall expire on August 28, 2002.
