HCS/HB 528 - This act repeals statutes regulating moisture measuring devices found in Chapter 265, RSMo. These devices would be regulated by the Division of Weights and Measures pursuant to Chapter 413, RSMo.

Every person operating a device that measures the moisture content of grains and seeds must be registered with the Department of Agriculture and subjected to registration fees. Exceptions to registration are provided for those using the device on his or her own land.

Violations of this act can be penalized by fine and may subject the offender to formal administrative hearing procedures.
