HCS/HB 459 - This act increases the fee charged by fee offices for registration, renewal or transferal of a motor vehicle license, a trailer license, a title or a driver's license to $2.00 until January 1, 1998. Beginning January 1, 1998, the fee will increase to $2.50. Current fees for vehicle or trailer registration, title application or transfer are $1.50. Current drivers license fee is $2.00.
The electronic telephone transmission reception fee remains at $2.00.
The act also requires display of a sign in fee agent offices
stating that these increases are requested by the agent.
