HB 0063 (Truly Agreed) Allows Liquor Licensees to Employ Eighteen-Year Olds Under Certain Conditions
Bill Summary

SCS/HB 63 - This act makes several changes in sections 311.098, 311.300 and 311.332, RSMo, pertaining to the liquor control law.

Section 311.098 - This section pertains to amusement places and Sunday sales. An amusement place is redefined as a place having a dance floor with at least 2,500 square feet. Previously the dance floor had to have at least 6,000 square feet. This specifically covered the old Casa Loma Ballroom which is no longer in existence. This change puts large dance halls under "amusement places" and allows them to have Sunday liquor sales.

Section 311.300 - The changes in this section clarify that package liquor stores must have someone twenty-one years of age or older on the premises during the store's operating hours.

Section 311.332 - this change will permit churches to buy Communion Wine (not for resale purposes) from a wholesaler.
