ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Office of Administration - Design and Construction and the
Department of Corrections (DOC) assume that this proposal would have no
fiscal impact to their agencies.
DOC officials indicated that funding was previously appropriated for the
purpose of replacing the Kansas City Community Release Center.

this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would authorize the Commissioner of Administration to enter
into a contract, after all bid requirements had been satisfied, with a
developer for the design and construction of a minimum security correctional
facility in Kansas City.
This proposal contains an emergency clause.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
