FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of
this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

Currently, directors of fire protection districts in St. Louis County and
surrounding counties are prohibited from being employed by the State or any
local government. This proposal would allow directors to be employed by the
State and by any political subdivision which does not lie within the
boundaries of the fire protection district.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
