Current Bill Summary

SB 154 - This act increases the amount of time an arrested person may be held in custody, without a warrant, from twenty to twenty-four hours. Within forty-eight hours of a criminal charge being filed, the court shall set the conditions for such person's release. If the person cannot meet such conditions, a warrant must be issued by the first business day after the charge was filed.
