Current Bill Summary

SB 53 - If a peace officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a driver of a motor vehicle has consumed alcohol or used drugs prior to an accident in which personal injury or death results, the officer shall request that the driver take a chemical test. If the driver refuses to take such test, the driver's license shall be revoked for three years.

This act is identical to SB 944 from 1996.
