Relating to certain financial transactions on excursion gambling boats, with penalty provisions.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

     Section A. Chapter 313, RSMo, is amended by adding one new section to be known as section 313.829, to read as follows:

     313.829. 1. No person, bank, holding company, trust company, partnership, association, corporation or other legal entity may establish, maintain or operate an automated device that processes financial transactions which involve credit cards on an excursion gambling boat. For purposes of this section, term "credit card" shall be as defined in the Consumer Credit Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 1602 (k), or successor acts, and the term "excursion gambling boat" shall be as defined in section 313.800.

     2. Violation of the provisions of subsection 1 of this act shall be a class C misdemeanor.
