Senator Jerry Howard
District 25

Born March 28, 1936, in Oak Ridge. Graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University (B.S., agriculture and biology; minor in chemistry and history).

Married Shirla Rathjen McFaddin. They have five children. He works in agri-business and horse breeding. Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, served in the Missouri National Guard, 16 years, honorably discharged. Serves on Southern Governors Conferences Board, Southern Legislative Conference--Regional Project on Infant Mortality.

Member: Methodist Church; Elks; Eagles; AF & AM; Scottish Rite; Moolah Temple A.A.O.N.M.S.; Lions; American Legion. Elected to the House: 1972-1976, 1987 (special election), 1988-1990. Elected to the Senate: 1990 (special election), 1992.
