                              FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

The Joint Committee on Public Employee Retirement (JCPER) has reviewed this
proposal and has determined an actuarial study is not needed under the
provisions of section 105.660, subdivision (5).

Officials of the Office of State Courts Administrator assume that there would
be no fiscal impact on the courts as a result of this legislation.

Missouri State Employees' Retirement System (MOSERS) officials indicate that
since family and juvenile court commissioners are already eligible to
participate in the Judicial Retirement Plan administered by MOSERS, there
would be no fiscal impact to the System as a result of this legislation.

Officials of the Office of Administration also assume the legislation would
have no fiscal impact since the positions named are already covered by the
Judicial Retirement Plan.

Officials of the Missouri Local Government Employees' Retirement System
(LAGERS) assume that there would be no impact on their System as a result of
this legislation.

DESCRIPTION

This legislation would clarify that family court commissioners and juvenile
court commissioners are eligible for judicial retirement benefits.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
