ASSUMPTION

The Office of State Courts Administrator (CTS), the Department of Health
(DOH) and the Department of Social Services (DOS) do not expect to be
fiscally impacted.

DESCRIPTION

The proposal would define abortion facility, but would exclude a hospital in
the definition.  No abortion facility would be allowed to operate without a
license after the effective date of this proposal.  Any abortion facility
currently in operation on the effective date of this proposal would be
required to apply for a license by December 1, 1996.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
