ASSUMPTION

Officials from the House of Representatives, Senate, Office of
Administrative-Facilities Management, Department of Natural Resources and
Joint Committee on Capital Improvements assume the proposal would have no
fiscal impact on them.

DESCRIPTION

The proposal would change the name of the Joint Committee on Capital
Improvements Oversight to the Joint Committee on Capital Improvements and
Leases Oversight. The committee would be responsible for monitoring all
leases and proposed leases of real property funded with state moneys,
including any operating costs or other costs associated with any such lease
arrangement.

The proposal includes an emergency clause.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
