DESCRIPTION
The proposed legislation would create rules and regulations related to kidney
health care and would be known as the "Missouri Kidney Health Care Act".
This act would allow a manufacturer or wholesaler to supply dialysis devices
or drugs used to perform dialysis if the manufacturer or wholesaler is
registered with the State Board of Pharmacy and the drugs or devices are
delivered to the person with chronic kidney failure for self- administration
or to a physician for administration or delivery and if the manufacturer or
wholesaler has sufficient and qualified supervision to adequately protect the
public health. The State Board of Pharmacy would make rules and regulations
related to the safe distribution of these drugs and devices without any
interruption in supply.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
