ASSUMPTION

Based on a response to a similar proposal, officials from the Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education and St. Louis Public Schools state the
proposal would have no fiscal impact on them.

DESCRIPTION

The proposal would raise the required limit of publicly bidding construction
expenditures for school districts from two thousand five hundred dollars to
twelve thousand five hundred dollars.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
