                              FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Office of Prosecution Services, and the Office of the Platte
County Prosecutor assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their
agency.

Officials of the Gaming Commission stated that they currently have 8 licensed
riverboats. The cost to the commission would be $40,000 based on those 8
boats (at $5,000 salary each) currently licensed. Officials further assume
that there would be additional future cost as additional licenses are issued
by the commission.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal would increase the salary of the prosecuting attorney in a
county that has one or more licensed excursion gambling boats operating in
that county. For each such boat the prosecutor shall receive an additional
five thousand dollars, which shall be paid from the Gaming Commission Fund.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
