SB 948 - This act permits first class counties to elect or
appoint county auditors and county recorders of deeds.
Currently, the county commission in first class charter counties
must appoint a county auditor. In first class noncharter
counties, the county auditor must be elected. The recorder of
deeds in first class counties must also be elected.
