Current Bill Summary

SB 862 - This act would prohibit members and employees of the State Lottery Commission, for two years after leaving the Lottery Commission, from having any personal pecuniary interest in any lottery, in the sale of lottery tickets or in any firm contracting with the state to supply lottery equipment.

Currently, there is a prohibition from having such interest while on or employed in the Lottery Commission, but there is no requirement once a person leaves.

A similar, two-year prohibition currently exists for members and employees of the Gaming Commission.
