SB 832 - This act gives the Director of the Department of Public Safety the authority to regulate owners and operators of amusement rides. Nonmechanized playground equipment is specifically exempted. Any person who knowingly violates this act is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
This act does not preempt a political subdivision's authority to license and regulate amusement rides.
This act is identical to HB 924.
