SB 578 - This act provides that the members of the Missouri Highway Patrol who were hired in conjunction with any agreement with the Missouri Gaming Commission shall not be subject to the personnel cap in subsection 1 of Section 43.050, RSMo. If the agreement is terminated or modified to reduce the personnel used in such agreement the members affected will not be subject to the cap for three years.

Also, members of the Patrol hired in conjunction with the community policing services federal grant will not be subject to the personnel cap until the federal grant expires.

A member who has withdrawn from the retirement system and who again becomes a member of the system may effect the reinstatement by paying the amount of accumulated contributions withdrawn, plus interest.

Finally, the Department of Public Safety shall develop and establish a "DNA Profiling System".
