HCS/SB 412 - Current law contains equivalent provisions for
teachers and principals in the St. Louis City metropolitan school
district regarding probationary and permanent employment,
removal, demotion and changes in qualification. The act removes
the applicability of these provisions to principals in the St.
Louis City metropolitan school district. The duties and rights
of such principals shall be as determined by the Board of
Education, except that all such principals whose appointment
became permanent prior to August 28, 1995 shall have the same
rights as teachers pursuant to section 168.221, RSMo.
