SS/SB 222 - Insurance companies are prohibited from using certain merchandising practices when providing automobile glass repairs pursuant to a claim. An insurance company cannot require that a specific company do the work or make threats to that effect. No exclusive agreement may be used to eliminate competing companies. The insurance company may recommend a location or company and may limit payment for repairs to the lowest competitive available price.

Automobile glass repair shops are prohibited from taking certain actions to obtain repair work. Criminal penalties are applied to insurance companies and to automobile repair companies.
