Current Bill Summary

SB 190 - The act requires that each school board include, in its written policy of discipline, at least a one-year suspension for possession of a weapon at a school. The superintendent may modify the suspension on a case-by-case basis. School districts may educate suspended pupils in an alternate setting.

Each school board shall establish a written policy on academic dishonesty. The policy shall require that the parent or guardian be notified of any incident involving academic dishonesty.
