HB 704 -- Vending Machines
This bill makes it a crime for a person to possess any device to tamper with a coin-operated vending machine with the intent to commit a theft from the machine. A convicted violator is guilty of a class A misdemeanor. The owner of a coin-operated vending machine may maintain a cause of action against any person convicted of vandalization of a vending machine and may be awarded treble damages, reasonable attorney's fees, and costs.
