The bill requires the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan to cover chiropractic services.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill allows Missouri state employees to receive chiropractic care under the insurance coverage of the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan. Chiropractors were formerly a plan participant. The omission of chiropractors from the MCHC plan was probably an oversight. Currently, chiropractic services are available to state employees under the state Indemnity Plan.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Liese; and Missouri State Chiropractic Association.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
