HB 518 -- Fee Office Transactions

This bill allows fee offices to increase the following transaction fee:

(1) For each motor vehicle, vessel certificate of number, outboard motor registration, certificate of number, or trailer license sold, renewed or transferred from $1 to $3;

(2) For each transfer of title, from $1.50 to $3.00;

(3) For each driver's license, from $2.00 to $3.50;

(4) Electronic telephone transmission, from $2.00 to $3.00.

Agents will be required to provide voter registration application, display state informational materials, and state tax forms and information. Collection of checks payable to the Department of Revenue drawn on closed account or on accounts with insufficient funds will be the responsibility of the department.
