HB 247 -- High School Diploma for Parolees
Co-Sponsors: Skaggs, Witt and Canuteson
This bill requires the Fulton Diagnostic Center within the Department of Corrections to determine if all individuals committed to the department have a high school diploma or its equivalent. The Division of Probation and Parole cannot parole any offender unless that individual has a high school diploma or completes the requirements and receives a high school diploma while in the custody of the department.
