Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 266 - Under the act, the construction of any earthen basin to retain and settle non-toxic, non-metallic earthen materials such as soil, silt, and rock, is excluded from the construction permit requirement where such permit is required to construct, build, replace or make major modification to any point source or collection system designed to convey or discharge human sewage to waters in the state.

This act is identical to provisions in SCS/HCS/HB 631 (2023), SCS/JCS/HB 779 (2023), and similar to provisions in the truly agreed to and finally passed CCS/HCS/SB 109 (2023).
