SB 353 - This act increases the percentage to which a school district's current operating expenditures may increase with state funding from five percent to eight percent, per recalculation, of the state revenue received by a district in the 2004-05 school year.

This act further provides that if the state adequacy target recalculation for a school district does not result in a percentage increase equal to or greater than the average increase in the consumer price index of the four preceding years multiplied by two, then the state adequacy target shall increase by the average increase in the consumer price index of the four preceding years multiplied by two, but not to exceed three percent total.
