SB 688 - This act provides that the city of Crestwood in St. Louis county shall receive fire protection services from the city fire department beginning January 1, 2024, and shall no longer make any payments to a fire protection district.The city may contract with a fire protection district if such parties mutually agree.
Finally, any residents of an area annexed by the city in 1994, shall no longer be able to vote in any fire protection district election and shall not be elected to the fire protection district's board of directors.
This act is identical to HB 1259 (2023).
